The Premise

Unicorn of Tomorrow is the one and only global contest where startups from all over the world compete for the title, honour and prize table in a yearly global final.

Two important distinctions to observe are the definitions of “Unicorn of Tomorrow” and “Startup”:

Firstly, in the context of the contest, the word TOMORROW has a deeper meaning! A contender to the title is not merely a company which will potentially grow to be worth a billion dollars. It is also a company which, through its innovation(s), concept and raison d´être, will make our planet a better place. In our playbook, there is a difference between just being a future unicorn – and being a Unicorn of Tomorrow! All competing concepts must therefore have adopted a minimum of one of the UN Global Goals into the business mission.

Secondly, the word STARTUP is here used as a substitute for all words describing entities with innovative business ideas. Ranging from pre-seed to scale-up, the contest welcomes all constellations to apply. We want to promote the ideas that have the biggest potential, no matter where in the climbing phase they are!
